In the prezi it shows you, us interviewing people and an explanation of the interview, the interview was there so give an idea and guideline of how successful our music video was. We also created a survey monkey which we put this on the internet for other audience feedback.

The first question that we asked on survey monkey was how old was the people when taking the survey, as you can see from the results that most of the participants were 18-17, as we was aiming at people aged 16-17 this was hitting the age range so they were suitable for us. WE also had feedback from people in their 20's this was beneficial as it tells us what they feel and what kind of music do they enjoy with new on coming artist coming out.

The second question shows you a simple reading of if they was male or female as you can see most people who answered this survey was actually female, as they song was involving a male artist more girls a more likely to listen to the artist and his songs.

The Third Question of the survey monkey had asked the people taking part if they enjoyed the music video and why . The people that replied said ; 'yes, the acting was very good'

'I quite liked it. The song was very good'

'Interesting' 

Many of the answers were the same sort of answer but very useful to us as individuals, the people who answered the question very much liked the video and the acting involved and the feedback given showed this. From the results the song choice was very good as it was a new song in 2013 and many people will be interested into new song that are occurring. 

In this question the same sort of answers were the similar to the third question, as we asked the participants whether they felt that the music video had matched with the music, and if so how. 

These are some of the answers;

'Yes the song was about a boy cheating on a girl and so going through a breakup'

'Yeah, I thought it was current and relevant to the song'

These answers show the opinions of the people who took part in the survey. The results that we received  made us aware of the fact the song went very well with the music video, and that the atmosphere it created was very effective. Although it was difficult to find a right scene to film the music video , it all came together in the end as the music video shows successful scenes throughout.

In this question we asked the audience what atmosphere the music video creates for them. Every person said a verity of answers and below is a few of them;

The atmosphere was a very positive in the music video, it was fun too watch! it was not boring or dull' so from this feedback it shows that they enjoyed watching it which we wanted to do, so we can clearly say we have achieved a goal by making our viewers happy and satisfied when watching the video.

The question gave us a statistic on what the audience felt about all three products, this included our digipak, magazine advert and the music video itself. The results showed that everyone came to the conclusion that they liked it. Even though that all 8 people said that think it worked well there can be many changed that we can make to improve our pieces of work.

The question is similar to the question above and the participants said they felt the products all worked well together, this was great feedback to us as it showed that we made a good product.

On the 8th question we asked the participants whether or not they felt that the three products we created had fit and looked similar to a RnB genre. As shown from the results we can say they we have made this to look like it was in the shops. 

In this question it was used to see what faults and improvements we have made and can change. ALthough many had said there were no faults I believe there were a few like some parts of the clip were too dark and you couldn't see the artist himself, so the clip needed to be lightened up so you could see him singing more. Also the video consisted of the artist too much and maybe we needed the Ellie in the video more to break down the singing.

The last question was the rating on our music video, as you can see they had a mixed idea on how they felt about the video. WE can see one person thought it deserved a 10 and the most people who answered it thought it was a nine. This showed that most people who watched the video liked it and enjoyed the scenes that was involved in the song.

In conclusion survey monkey has allowed us to get feedback from the audience and it makes us aware on what areas we can improve on, due to audience we can say that they have gave us the best quality answers that have helped us to provide a good video, digipak and advert.

Evaluation Question 4: How did you use new Media Technologies in the Construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

When people listen to the song that decided to show them they though of bright colours like blue and red and white, so we incorporated this as he wore a blue top to show the brightness of their relationship.  We also used colours like green and browns to mix the colours up, this would give variation to the song and not make it a boring music video.

This is another song which helped us to get ideas about the location and were it should be set, and we got our idea from this as we filmed in london as we liked the area it was set in, and the atmosphere of london as there are loads of people. Even though people said a good place would be to film in a bedroom we didn't really use this idea as we didn't have much option as we wanted to focus on three areas of london and we felt we could develop our music video from these areas.

This next question helped us the most as it gave us what type of vibe our music video should and what type of characters should be like for example if they should be happy most of the time or if they should be crying and mainly an emotional wreck.

Question 6 was about the atmosphere and what this song create for you and we got all different answer which helped us to find out more about the song and what type of music video we should have, the multiply answer that we got was that it makes us feel sorry for the girls as he's cheated on her with three different people. Other answers was that the song was sad and emotional and this helped us give an idea on making the music video emotional.

Survey Monkey Question 5

I think this was one of the harder question as it's your own opinion but you have to associate words that you think goes with the song, but many people come up with obvious ideas but not really unique as everyone really had the same idea, I really fount that the song associated with the love of music and not just the girl, I also believed that the song and the singer was about his past.

 The questions about the singer and the singer to me is a soul singer, who's generally in love with a typical girl. I also found out from the survey that the singer has a good vocal content and the obvious answer that he's a black R&B singer who seems to be a ladies man.

The next question we wanted to ask the people is what they think about song and everyone really got the same answer which it was a heartbroken girl getting cheated on by someone. We found out that the answer were roughly the same that we found out and we didn't really need much information from people as it was very obvious on what the song was about.

The next set of question that we wanted to find out is that why you liked or didn't like the song and the main reason why people liked this song is that the song was very catchy and easy to understand, other answers we found out was that people found the song relaxing and calming.

I found out myself that the song was an emotional song, and it it got to peoples emotions and they could actually feel the song.

Here is our overall digipak including the inside and outside , the whole digipak was created using Adobe Photoshop.

The final Music Video

This is the final product and finished edit of our music video, there are still parts were the quality can be better but there's nothing we can do and it's a problem we had to put up with. We still feel that the video is a good a decent video that we have produced.

New Magazine Advert

Here is the final piece of our magazine advert, as you can see we have updated the magazine advert from the last one, we brightened the red into the poster as it gave it more of a eye catching advent. The main downfall with this is that there wasn't much font that we were personally happy with and therefore very limited but we found a website that had many font styles so we fount the useful font style on dafont.com and we found the reasonable font style for our magazine advert. In the old magazine advert it was very grey so we edited it through picmonkey and this gave us the red/dusty colour in the background. 

In the advert we put a four star rating to show how good the single is, we put the download days and where you can buy the song, this is so people know were you can get the song and how good it is. In the end we added a shading affect on the boarder and then a bold boarder to bring the image together.

Survey Monkey Question 1

 The first question was did you dislike or like the song and from the results that we found that most people like the song, and not one person didn't like the song, but as it shows 12.5% of the people who answered the survey they neither like the song.

Editing - Adjusting the Speed

This gives you the ability to change the speed of the clip that you may want to edit, so as you can see the speed is 100 percent so everything will be at normal past, but if you change it to 50 percent it will change that clip speed by half.

Changing the speed is very easy and doesnt need much learning, but getting the right speed can be very hard to get, as it may not look correct or it may be fuzzy.

Magazine Advert

This is the magazine advert that we have designed to promote the music video. Nadia choose the colours and shading as she felt and we all felt that it help the magazine stand out, The emotions of the music video was a sad vibe so we gave the advert this too as we felt that the magazine would reflect on the music video. The colours that we chose were blue and grey to show a kind of dullness, the dullness shows the emotions of the video.

Rough Cut

This is a rough cut of our music video, there are a few minor errors where i have to change as at the start of the intro I haven't put myles singing in the start, so i need to edit a part were its showing myles singing. Another part i need to change about the video is that I only have myles in the video for the first minute, but I need to put Ellie in the start so it shows her more, the next part I'm going to edit out is when myles sings he sings the echo in the background and its hard for people to see which part he's singing.

I'm also going to add in more shots of the scenery as it breaks up the singing and it gives the music video a bit of variety.

Adobe After Effect

I used adobe after effect to change the contrast of my clip in my music video, but today i was getting the basic uses of the program and i learnt how to make a moving animation, but this program can help me change the clouds and colour contrast which I need to change as it look to dark on the clip.

The clip below is the clip i need to change as its to dark and you cant really see the clip so i need to make it more sharp, and brighter so its easier to see.

Process of filming

Over the christmas term me and my group decided to film so more footage of Myles singing as when we filmed before we filmed over our last piece of footage, so we had to go out and film more. The location we picked for more filming was leicester square and trafalgar square in london these locations were better than last time as it had the christmas scenery making it more lively. 

These are the picture that we took during filming, the top picture is in leicester square and the bottom two are Trafalgar square.

 

Imovie

In IMovie i had to import a clip from final cut express this is because one part of the clip is too dark and i need to make it richer but in final cut i cant balance the colours on final cut so I import of lip into IMovie, as it would be easier to edit the clip, but i found out that it was the same as final cut and it just made the clip hard to see when i made it brighter which it wast much use.

Here are some pictures of the main singer in our music video Myles, we have taken picture of him for our album cove. We gave ourself loads of choice, incase we had different choices between the group.

After taking all these photos, we have choose this picture below as it's a really good picture, as the picture is a clear close up of the artist and the picture is a really good quality.

These are a few places where we went to film for our music video, the places we visited were embankment and the london eye, these places were exciting to be at due to the lights and amusement at night.

Technical Terms

Due to the weather we couldnt film as it wouldnt go with our music video, and it would change the scene of our film. So this week we have decided not to film, We are waiting until the weather has cleared up.

Our Digipak

The top picture is two pictures that we have taken and edited them both in photoshop and i have given the picture like a photocopy look and gave the background colour red and the song reminds us of a romantic song and red is the main colour for romantic vibe.
